Duane Sannes
Duane was born September 19, 1949 at Crookston, MN.
Duane was the second oldest of 10 children born to Norman and Edna Sannes.
He was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Church in Fertile and remains a member there.
He graduated from Fertile High School in 1968.
When Duane was 12 years of age he underwent one of the first open heart surgeries that involved the heart/lung machine at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Complications from surgery left him partially paralyzed on his left side.
During his teen years he helped on the family farm and also baling hay for neighbors.
Duane's siblings still living are Dennis, Richard, Rodney, Jerry, Renee, Julie, and Brenda. He had a sister Sharon and brother Jeffrey that have passed away.
Duane has always enjoyed visitors, playing cards, telling jokes, Minnesota Twins, and TV programs.
